Safe usage

Back up before repairs

Commands such as chkdsk /f or repair commands should not be run casually on production systems. Back up important data before starting file system or system repairs.

Use administrator rights deliberately

Many diagnostic commands work without elevated permissions. Open Command Prompt or PowerShell as administrator only when the selected command actually requires it.

Document commands

Copy the example, purpose and warning into a ticket or maintenance log. This makes it easier to track what was run on a system.
