Project Planning

Project Design Document

This online tool helps you organize an initial project idea and turn it into a compact, understandable foundation document for further planning and development.

Purpose and use

At the beginning of a project, important thoughts are often unstructured. This tool collects the essentials in one place and automatically organizes them into a project design document. It does not replace a complete project plan, but it creates a reliable starting point for discussions, tickets, technical decisions and later documentation.

First describe the idea, goal, target audience, important features, requirements and initial technical considerations. The result is a clear template that you can save, download or move into another documentation system or AI tool for further work.

Important terms explained

MVP
An initial usable version with the smallest meaningful feature set.
Non-goal
Something that is deliberately outside the current project scope.

An early note about platform, architecture, data, interfaces or possible risks.
